Agency for Persons with Disabilities
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) is a Florida state agency that supports individuals with unique abilities and their families in living, learning and working within their communities by creating multiple pathways to possibilities. Center For Independent Living
The Center for Independent Living is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. They provide independent living skills training, peer support, information and referral, as well as advocacy services.
Disability Rights of Florida
Disability Rights Florida is a nonprofit organization committed to advocating, educating, investigating, and litigating to uphold the rights, dignity, equal opportunities, and self-determination of individuals with disabilities. They provide legal advocacy and protection for adults and children across a diverse spectrum of disabilities. Their team, consisting of staff attorneys, advocates, and investigators, addresses civil rights violations, cases of abuse and neglect, as well as instances of discrimination.
Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities
The mission of the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc. is to promote the interests of individuals with disabilities by acting as a public policy change agent, and to promote and serve the interests of community human service provider organizations.
The Family Cafe
The Family Café exists to provide individuals with disabilities and their families with an opportunity for collaboration, advocacy, friendship and empowerment by serving as a facilitator of communication, a space for dialogue and a source of information.
